Strays in Saanich
Currently, stray cats found in Saanich have no place to go to find help, due to curious municipal bylaws. The only help these cats have are the local rescue organizations: Dee's Orphan Kitten Fund, Cat's Cradle, Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders and Victoria Adoptables. Volunteers, who spend their free time obtaining veterinary care and new homes for these stray cats, run each organization. Each organization desperately needs help from the general public in the form of foster homes, fundraisers and educators. Even taking one cat in for a month will help immensely, as these stray cats have no place to go. If you have found a cat or kittens see our pamphlet for help with who to contact. |
